launch!

A few years ago, the idea entered my mind that there should be a website to help people share art with each other.

Finding the right way to make this idea real took a few tries, but once I became hooked on mailing postcards to my Mamaw, everything started to fall together.

Walltype is a new mail art website, based on postcards. It allows you to share and receive postcards in response to art assignments. The assignments vary from simply saying 'Hello' to making a doodle to writing a poem.

New assignments will be added regularly, and ideas are always welcome. Each time you send a postcard, you are placed at the top of the queue to receive a postcard from the next person to send one.

Walltype would never have come to exist without the inspiring work of two websites: the Learning to Love You More project and Postcrossing, the postcard sharing website.

And now, after a good amount of testing with friends, Walltype is online!

Much thanks to Amber Lemons for all the endless help and encouragement that made this project become real.
